MARIPOSA is scheduled to dock at Berth 195, Wilmington, at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Breakfast - A Deluxe Continental Breakfast will be served on the Pool Terrace from 7:00 to 8:15 and breakfast in the Dining Room will be served from 8:15 to 10:00 on an open sitting basis. Debarking Procedure - Passengers terminating their cruise in Los Angeles will debark from the Purser's Foyer on Main Deck. Passengers continu ing on to Honolulu and the South Pacific are re quested to use the Boat Deck gangway, adjacent to the swimming pool. Transportation to Airport and Biltmore Hotel - A coach will depart from the dock at approximately 9:00 a.m. for Los Angeles International Airport and the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. One way fare per person is $5.00. Tickets may be pur chased at the Purser's Office prior to arrival. There is no bus service from the Biltmore to the dock. Through Passenger Guest Meals - The following are the charges made for guest meals while in port: Breakfast $4.00, Lunch $7.00, Dinner $12.00 per person. Passengers must be given preference on the seating available in the dining room, and the num ber of guests who can be accommodated is very limited. Advance arrangements should he made with the headwaiter. Small packages, wig boxes, liquor, cosmetic cases, unpacked wearing apparel, etc., are easily lost or damaged in transfer, so we suggest you carry them ashore to insure their safe handling. A representative of Hertz is usually on the dock Crew (Only) Fire and Boat Drill - The loud ringing of the ship's general alarm bells and sounding of the ship's whistle at 9:30 a.m. today will be the signal for a drill for crew members only. Passen gers are requested to remain off the Boat Deck dur ing the drill. However, those wishing to watch the drill may do so from the Sun Deck sports area above the Boat Deck. Card Room and Writing Room - We will appreci ate your cooperation in limiting smoking in the Card Room and Writing Room to cigarettes only. No Smoking in Library - we ask your cooperation in not smoking in the Library. Smoking is permitted in all other public rooms except the Card Room and Writing Room where cigars and pipes are not permitted. Noise and Loud Talking carry considerable distance aboard ship and it is possible inadvertently to dis turb others. Please be considerate of your fellow passengers, particularly during late night and early morning hours when in passageways near state rooms or in staterooms. Engine Room Tours - Because of operational re quirements it will not he possible to operate engine room tours during this voyage. Motion Sickness Medicine may be obtained without charge from the Doctor's Office, from your Room Steward or from the Purser's Office. This medicine is called Marezine and can give substantial relief for those inclined toward motion sickness. Attention Joggers and Early Risers - We request you observe the "No Jogging Beyond This Point" signs posted on Boat Deck (forward of the ladder leading from Promenade Deck). Heavy walking and jogging is disturbing to those passengers occupying rooms immediately below. Your cooperation is ap preciated. Laundromat Room - The passenger laundromat on Upper Deck is open each day from n 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Passengers are cautioned not to commence a laundry after 7:00 p.111, as the Laundromat Room must be locked promptly at 8:00 p.m. Passengers are requested not to remove others' laundry from the dryers unless it is completely dry. The laundro mat 1S a complimentary service of Pacific Far East Line. Safety Suggestions for Young People - When moving about the ship, walk, do not run, as you may collide with someone who is stepping into the passageway. Parents are requested to impress upon young chil dren the importance of not running. Safety Precautions - Please do not walk around the interior of the ship with bare feet, especiafly in areas that have just been mopped. The decks in the passageways and other public areas are highly pol ished and therefore are very slippery when wet. Safety Precautions - Please observe common sense in regard to fire which is extremely dangerous at sea. Do not throw lighted cigarettes over the side (which may be blown back aboard), or in trash receptacles until you are certain they are extin guished, nor hang garments over light fixtures- common fire hazards. Doors in staterooms may close an the fingers of the unwary unless the doors are firmly engaged to the friction door holder. Be careful when stepping over door sills, parti ciilarly when going in or out of the interior of the ship to open decks. Emergency Procedures In the case of an emergency there will be a con tinuous ringing of the ship's General Alarm Bells. When this signal is sounded, all passengers are to report immediately to their assigned lifeboat stations wearing their life jackets which are located in the staterooms. The location of your lifeboat station and instruc tions pertaining to proper method of wearing life jacket is posted in your stateroom, either on the inside of your wardrobe door or in the bathroom. We urge you to locate and try on your life jacket as soon as possible. Your Room Steward will be happy to assist you in locating your life jacket and instruct you in the proper method to don the jacket. Passenger Drills and Crew Drills will be an nounced beforehand over the ship's public address system and in the daily newspaper. CHILDREN IN BAR AREA State of California regulations do not permit persons under 21 years of age in the Outrigger Bar area at any time. Children under 12 years of age are not per mitted in public rooms after 9:00 p.m. in the evening.
