The impact speaking Pidgin has had on the lives of people who grew up and received an education in Hawai‘i, and how the negative stigmas associated with it has challenged Pidgin speakers at home and in school, as well as in our wider society, and how allowing Pidgin in education can alter the Western expectations that are embedded in everything we do.
