Abstract
Diabetes, over the past decade, particularly the last five years it has become a major health issue in the United State. Especially type 2 diabetes, with the lack of education and awareness of the long term affects it can have on a person's health. A Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) would be greatly beneficial to decrease and eliminate diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes which can be preventable through a healthy plant based diet and better life style changes through exercise.
