ACCJC-WASC Accreditation

Kapi‘olani Community College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACCJC-WASC), 10 Commercial Blvd., Suite 204, Novato, CA 94949, (415) 506-0234, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

Every six years the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACCJC-WASC), often referred to as ACCJC, conducts an evaluation of Kapi‘olani Community College’s educational and institutional effectiveness. The evaluators are selected from community colleges in the western region of the United States, and this process is the nation’s method of assuring that our college meets stringent academic and organizational standards to provide the best education possible to our students.
