    Vaccinations are important for all individuals of all ages to protect them from serious diseases and reduce the chances of spreading it loved ones.2 The influenza virus is one of the few types of viruses that has a vaccine.

    The flu and the common cold are known to share similar symptoms, but the flu is considered more severe and has the capability of making health problems worse.

    Measurements of Blood Pressure and Heart Rate in College Students

    • Six subjects, three well-conditioned and three poorly conditioned, performed the Harvard Step Test. The well-conditioned subjects had a quicker heart rate recovery of 27 bpm after exercising compared to the poorly-conditioned subjects heart rate recovery of 20 bpm
    • The well-conditioned subjects were physically fit and were able to regulate blood pressure and pulse after exercise better than the poorly-conditioned subjects
    • Cardiovascular health is important because it can indicate the presence of cardiovascular diseases. Testing blood pressure and pulse after exercise in well-conditioned and poorly-conditioned subjects indicate the health advantages and differences seen in cardiovascular health based on lifestyle choices and habits.

    Fighting off the pandemic pandemonium with fitness Being a college student can be difficult. Trying to find time and balance between school, work, a social life, and time for oneself can be challenging. On top of all that, trying to integrate daily exercise can seem impossible especially during a global pandemic. Fitting in just 30 minutes a day for moderate to vigorous physical activity can lead to improved brain power, reduction of stress and anxiety, and greater overall health.
