People are led to believe that all the homeless are lazy people, drunkards, or even drug addicts that deserve no leniency or help from the state. Regardless of whether or not it rings true for some, these alienating thought processes do nothing but to further tarnish the reputation of the people that are failed not by their own merit, but by the circumstances that they’re forced into.
[The purpose and stakes of the podcast are to] inform people about other implications that forced people into homelessness [and] create more awareness surrounding the Hawaii homeless situation.Item Interview with Dr. Carmen Nolte-Odhiambo(University of Hawai'i - West O'ahu, 2019-10) Thurston, Rachel; Domingo, Christian; Wills, Tahani; Romero, YasmineENG 300 students Rachel Thurston, Christian Domingo, and Tahani Wills interview Dr. Carmen Nolte Odhiambo, a professor of English at the University of Hawaii - West O'ahu.Item Interview with Dr. Jayson Chun(University of Hawai'i - West O'ahu, 2019-10-16) Smith, James; Mow, Lindsey; Lugo, Alexander; Romero, YasmineENG 300 students James Smith, Lindsey Mow, and Alexander Lugo, interview Dr. Jayson Chun, a professor of History at the University of Hawaii - West O'ahu.Item Interview with Dr. Kealani Cook(University of Hawai'i - West O'ahu, 2019-10) Rivera, Shauna; Puaa, Zandria; Kamealoha, Kori-Ann; Romero, YasmineENG 300 students Shauna Rivera, Zandria Puaa, and Kori-Ann Kamealoha interview Dr. Kealani Cook, a professor of History at the University of Hawaii - West O'ahu.Item Interview with Dr. Li-hsiang Lisa Rosenlee(University of Hawai'i - West O'ahu, 2019-10) Gogue, Christa; Reyes, Justin Delos; Hui, Carlton; Romero, YasmineENG 300 students Christa Gogue, Justin Delos Reyes, and Carlton Hui interview Dr. Li-hsiang Lisa Rosenlee, a professor of Philosophy at the University of Hawaii - West O'ahu.
