dc.description.abstract Biometrics technologies are used for smartphones device authentication, workplace security, and law enforcement services. With the number of passwords or pins an individual must remember, it is often forgotten, misplaced, or compromised causing security concerns for the individual or organization. Biometrics has also replaced traditional passwords and pins to access personal and workplace accounts and information. Today, you have the option to do a two-way authentication to access accounts. Password and biometrics can be combined to provide two-factor authentication. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of biometrics technology used for information security authentication applications.
